Over the last ten years, Brenk Sinatra has become one of Europe’s best-known music producers. The “producer with rapper attitude”, as Morlockk Dilemma described him in his podcast, can be agreed upon by all generations of German rap, from old school to new wave. From his home base in Vienna, Brenk provides numerous renowned artists from both the German-speaking world and internationally with his signature instrumentals, which have long since become his trademark. Rappers such as Casper, Haftbefehl, Tom Hengst, Olexesh, Said and Xatar, as well as US rap greats such as MC Eiht, Xzibit and Mac Miller, who died far too young, have recorded tracks over his beats.
With his instrumental releases, such as the multi-part album series “Gumbo” or “Midnite Ride”, Brenk succeeded in bringing the often-overlooked artistic work of music producers, who were perceived as musical service providers in the background, especially in German-speaking countries, into the spotlight. By persistently sticking to his musical vision, Brenk Sinatra’s productions have become a trademark that now reaches a broad, cross-genre audience. All of his solo projects now enjoy millions of streams. “Gumbo”, the trilogy opener released in 2008, was voted one of the best 20 instrumental albums of all time by JUICE magazine. His summer 2021 album “Boss Spieler University”, a tribute to the Down South spirit of the 90s, revealed Brenk’s passion for vintage synthesizers, which in their great variety decisively shape the sound of the album.
With his music label Wave Planet Records and the associated publishing house Wave Planet Publishing, a long-cherished dream came true for Brenk Sinatra in 2021. After more than 15 years in the music industry, Brenk wants to offer a new generation of talented artists a home for their uncompromising music and at the same time create fair working conditions through sound advice and an extensive network, which he, like so many artists, missed in his early years.
